HIIT Group Workout

High intensity interval training (HIIT) is a type of cardio training that relies on intense exercises performed in short bursts of tens of seconds interspersed with breaks.

The popularity of HIIT training also comes from the fact that, unlike a regular cardio session, these are short workouts that give noticeable results in record time.

This class allows you to quickly increase your cardiovascular endurance as well as improve your muscular strength. The structure of the sequences allows everyone to go at their own pace, adjusting the intensity according to their own personal zone of comfort.

Advantages of HIIT Workouts

Since the mid-1990s, more and more studies have been done on short, intense workouts, and the results have always been the same: they really work. Here are some of the main benefits of high-intensity interval training:

Fast Results

During the course of a normal day, our schedules are usually full and the time we have to train is increasingly limited. The idea of spending several hours a week in the gym is not exactly the most pleasant for many people. So HIIT becomes the perfect workout for those who want quick results without spending hours upon hours at the gym.

A Great Workout for the Heart

HIIT training will not only help you get the fitness you want, it also has many positive effects on your health. Through the effort you put in and the breaks that come immediately after, your heart will become stronger.

HIIT Workouts Motivate You

Often, when you repeat the same routine for long periods of time, you may become bored and less motivated to finish the workout. It's easier to get motivated to complete exercise intervals when you know they are short in duration. Plus, since results are seen relatively quickly, you'll have proof that the effort is really worth it.

Health Benefits of HIIT

There are many studies on the health, endurance and metabolic benefits of high-intensity interval training. Here are the main benefits of HIIT training:

  • High-intensity interval training helps regulate blood sugar;

  • Studies show that HIIT workouts burn up to 30% more calories than normal workouts;

  • Improved cardiovascular fitness - as mentioned above, regular HIIT training is great for heart health as it increases VO2max (the amount of oxygen used by the body) as well as the amount of blood pumped through the circulatory system.
